Data Analyst

POSITION IS LOCATED IN MODESTO, CA. THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION

The Data Analyst will develop queries, reports and applications required to support the needs of the Sales and Marketing departments. They will also work with members of the Sales and Marketing departments to help analyze market data. This position will provide backup for the IT manager and other Marketing IT staff. It is an entry level position.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Extract data from existing Marketing database for Sales and Marketing departments to uncover trends in sales performance, analyze market segments and evaluate marketing campaigns.
  • Develop, test and produce queries/reports for existing and new information requests.
  • Work with the person(s) making the request to visually display and organize the information in a manner that best works for them.
  • Assist the Marketing IT Manager and other Marketing IT staff in other IT related tasks for the purpose of providing support and backup.
  • Other IT related tasks as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Experience Required:

  • College BS degree in computer science, statistics or business.
  • Basic knowledge of computer programming methods.
  • Analytical
  • Process oriented
  • Detail oriented, auditor mindset
  • Inquisitive, desire to learn
  • Resourceful, able to research issues and get things done

Skills/Knowledge/Experience Preferred:

  • Familiarity with the SQL query language and relational databases
  • Understanding of marketing principals
  • General knowledge about high quality food products
